At its meeting of 30 October 2014, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted the Decision on visa free entry to the Republic of Serbia for holders of foreign passports having a valid Schengen, UK and other Member States' visa, or visa of the United States of America, and for holders of foreign passports having residence permit in the countries of the Schengen area, EU or the United States of America, which was published in the "Official Gazette of RS", No. 119 of 31 October 2014 and which will enter into force on 8 November 2014.
By this decision, the above-mentioned categories of foreign nationals may, without prior visa application, enter, transit or stay in the Republic of Serbia up to 90 days during a six-month period, but not exceeding the expiring date of the said visas or residence permits.
Foreign nationals, holders of a residence permit in the form of a separate card (not a sticker affixed to their passport), must present their valid passport, upon entering the territory of the Republic of Serbia.

Citizens of the Germany traveling to the Republic of Serbia do not need visas (up to 90 days). Swiss citizens can also use Swiss ID-card to enter Serbia.
All holders of Germany travel documents for aliens or refugees require an entry visa for the Republic of Serbia.

Legal entities and individuals providing accommodation for foreign nationals with financial compensation, as well as persons being visited by foreign nationals, are required to register with the competent authority the visit of the foreign national within 24 hours from the provision of accommodation to a foreign national, or from the time of arrival of a foreign national for visiting purposes. The foreign national is required to register with the relevant authority his/her stay at, and change of address of residence, within 24 hours from the date of arrival in the place of residence or from the date of the change of address of his/her stay. The foreign national who has been granted permanent resident status is required to register his/her domicile and change of abode, within eight days from the date of arrival in the domicile or from the date of the change of the address.
Visas can be requested by submitting an application to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia (in person - NOT by E-Mail, phone of via post).
TYPES OF VISAS
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS: • Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days after the date of the planned departure from Serbia and containing at least 2 free pages) • Photo (Size 3,5 x 4,5 cm) • Completed visa application form A - Airport transit visa-60 EUR
C - Short stay visa-60 EUR
D - Temporary residence visa-30 EUR
The visa application must be submitted at least 20 calendar days before the scheduled visit, and may not be submitted earlier than 3 months before the scheduled visit.
VISA C (Short stay in Serbia up to 90 days):
Short-stay visas are mainly issued for tourism, business as well as other travelling needs including a single, double or multiple entries into the Republic of Serbia. The duration of an uninterrupted stay, and/or the total duration of successive visits of a alien with a short-stay visa shall not exceed 90 days within a period of six months which began on the day of the first entry. A short-stay visa with the multiple entry option is issued with the validity of up to one year; however, it may also be issued for a longer term if it is related to the staff of a foreign diplomatic mission or a consular office as is stated by applied principle of reciprocity. (Article 18 of the Law on Aliens).
VISA D (Temporary residence visa - staying in Serbia more than 90 days):
Temporary residence visa is a permit for entry of a foreigner in the Republic of Serbia and is issued for work, employment, performing economic or other professional activity, education, studies, scientific research, family reunion and other justified reasons in accordance with the Law on foreigners of the Republic of Serbia or international agreements.
Holders of passports of countries requiring a visa to enter Serbia, who have a regulated stay in Germany (for example Ethiopian passport + residence permit "C") who intend to stay in Serbia for more than 90 days, must obtain a "D" visa at the competent embassy or consulate of the Republic Serbia so that they can regulate their stay in Serbia.
On the other hand, holders of passports of countries that normally enter Serbia without a visa (for example, a passport of France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, USA...) and who wish to stay in Serbia for more than 90 days, can apply for a "D“ visa directly at the Foreign Ministry Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia (Savska 35, 11000 Belgrade) upon arrival in Serbia and do not have to apply for a visa at the diplomatic missions and consular posts of Serbia abroad.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
• Valid passport (passport must be valid at least 90 days after the date of the planned departure from Serbia and containing at least 2 free pages),
• Photo (Size 3,5 x 4,5 cm),
• Completed visa application form,
• Invitation letter,
- for a private visit - invitation letter certified by the relevant authority of the Republic of Serbia.
- for a business visit - invitation letter from by a company in Serbia stating nature of the business and expected duration of the visit, as well as a letter from an Swiss company which you are representing.
- for a tourist visit - a proof of payment for the trip issued by a travel agency (voucher or other type of payment receipt), confirmed accommodation.
• Proof of stay in Germany - stay permit, visa (if you are not residing in your native country),
• Return ticket or Itinerary (copy of International Driving License, Title and Insurance if you travel by car),
• Proof of sufficient funds for staying in Serbia (50 eur per day of stay), proven with account statement,
• Health insurance,
• Visa fee.
The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documentation.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Einzahlung der Visagebühr
Seit dem 01.02.2021 akzeptiert die Botschaft der Republik Serbien keine Barzahlungen mehr. Die Entrichtung der Konsulargebühren muss entweder:

WICHTIG:
Der gezahlte Betrag muss exakt der Höhe der zu entrichtenden Konsulargebühren entsprechen.
Bei mehreren Konsularvorgängen sind die Gebühren für jeden Vorgang einzeln zu überweisen.
Als Nachweis für die erfolgte Zahlung der Gebühren gelten der Einzahlungsbeleg, der Durchschlag des Überweisungsträgers oder der Online-Banking-Beleg.
Die Bearbeitung des Antrags bzw. der Dokumente erfolgt erst, nachdem der Betrag tatsächlich auf dem Konto der Botschaft verbucht wurde.
